I'm a student filmmaker and am ultimately looking to make a film over the coming months. My initial interest comes because of my background as a gay man who also grew up in a highly masculine and aggressive community.
Although i'm sure it's nothing like being part of the Gypsy community, it's given me a strong desire to tell stories about people who are trying to leave or gain a new life away from their roots I understand the difficulty between loving your family and your roots, but trying to find your own direction - and the adventures along the way :)
I'd really like to meet up with anybody who has experienced or encountered any of these things... or just have a talk on the phone. If we meet up then i can buy some drinks or a cake or something.
