I came out to my family a few months ago when I was drunk, it's not as bad as everyone thinks. It was basically a week from hell and then everything was chill again, and I'm no less a traveller/gypsy than anyone else on here. It's not all perfect but I definitely feel a lot better now that I have no secrets left. Times are changing and I imagine that in a few years it will eventually be in the norm to be gay/lesbian/bisexual/etc. without being judged, it's just a lot for people to take in considering the culture has never been used to anyone being anything but 100% heterosexual. I came out to my family a few months ago when I was drunk, it's not as bad as everyone thinks. It was basically a week from hell and then everything was chill again, and I'm no less a traveller/gypsy than anyone else on here. It's not all perfect but I definitely feel a lot better now that I have no secrets left. Times are changing and I imagine that in a few years it will eventually be in the norm to be gay/lesbian/bisexual/etc. without being judged, it's just a lot for people to take in considering the culture has never been used to anyone being anything but 100% heterosexual. Don't hide away though, I'm not saying come out because in all honesty no one should come HAVE to come out anyway, your sexuality doesn't define who you are it's your personality that does, but just accept the fact you ARE gay, there's completely nothing wrong with it.
